The Deniliquin Domestic Violence Liaison Committee will host ‘Hannah’s Story’ at the Deniliquin Town Hall on Tuesday, August 12.
It is presented by the Small Steps 4 Hannah foundation, formed after Hannah Clarke and her three children were murdered in 2020 by her estranged husband, Rowan Baxter.
Her case exposed critical failures in Australia’s legal and support systems for victims of non-physical abuse.
It sparked national outrage and led to major reforms, including moves to criminalise coercive control and greater awareness of domestic violence.
The evening event, which will run from 6pm to 8pm, will feature Small Steps 4 Hannah DV prevention educator and former cricketer Michael Jeh as guest speaker.
He will share Hannah's story, highlighting the early warning signs of coercive control and the devastating consequences of domestic and family violence.
While free to attend, bookings are requested for catering purposes. Tea, coffee and a light supper will be provided.
