Our community must have a stable council that can work together and achieve great things. That we can build relationships with all levels of government to ensure we can effectively lobby and advocate.
This enables further funding, to live well.
Access to good education, access to primary health care, childcare and housing. If we get this right, people will want to stay here and move to our region.
Our economy relies on the agricultural sector.
Our council must understand the importance of this industry, advocate and work to support diversification.
Councillors must understand the financial position of Edward River Council and ensure it remains in a sound financial position, and that rate payers get value for money.
I am invested in our community and have volunteered locally for 16 years and held executive positions on a range of committees and boards including Intereach, River Region Early Education, Deniliquin Pony Club and Ricegrowers Association.
This includes kick-starting Deniliquin’s Can Assist branch, which provides financial assistance to community members with cancer.
I have had a broad professional experience, have health and community management experience and held quality and governance roles in local government and the early childhood sector.
I am absolutely committed to providing leadership and contributing to ensuring we have a strong, cohesive council who has fabulous debates, makes decisions and gets the job done while maintaining working relationships with all.
