Kids get funky in parade

The sound of DJ Rosie Keech’s music had all the students in the Deniliquin South School Book Week parade on Friday pulling funky dance moves.

As well as dancing and showing off their fabulous costumes, the hi-five was a massive hit, slapping hands with the crowd during laps of the parade.

Popular costume choices included characters from Super Mario and Minecraft, superheroes, princesses and even Captain Underpants.

The parents and children went to great lengths creating the most amazing hand made costumes.

Imaginations were stretched turning book characters into portable magic and the most important message of all to make sure you read, read, read.
