The program is an initiative of Netball Victoria to cultivate young athletes’ potential and pave the way for national representation in netball.
Phoebe Newman, Sienna Elphick, Amy Holloway and Milly Hanmer were hand-picked for their exceptional skills on the court and will be part of the North East Squad in the program, which runs from February to October next year.
The program’s primary focus is to provide opportunities for selected players to enhance their overall wellbeing, physical preparedness, and technical and tactical skills.
Over the course of eight months, the program includes regional-based training sessions, as well as specialised training days held at the esteemed State Netball Centre in Melbourne.
These sessions offer the girls valuable insights and guidance from experienced coaches and experts in the field.
The girls will have a chance to participate in a range of activities, including various workshops, fitness sessions, and team-building exercises, among others.
“The program aims to help these young athletes reach their full potential and provide them with the necessary skills and experience to excel in their sport,” the Deniliquin Netball Association said.
“The Deniliquin Netball Association is extremely proud of the girls and their achievements.”
