The popular local pharmacy, which has been headed up by owners Russell and Michelle Ingram for almost 26 years, has been selected as one of six Victorian finalists for the prestigious award.
Mr Ingram, who was also a finalist for Pharmacist of the Year at this year’s national awards, said being a finalist is great recognition for his staff.
“We are delighted to be named as a finalist, considering there are 110 Terry White Chemmart pharmacies in Victoria,” Mr Ingram said.
“But it’s also great recognition for our staff and a reflection of what we do in the local community and offer our loyal customers.”
Mr Ingram said the award encompasses strict criteria looking at areas such as compliance, training, service and community engagement and support.
“It really does cover everything from our customer service, even clinical and administrative support, to Yarrawonga Health and age care services, our vaccination service, sleep studies, beauty and retail services and even community support and sponsorship.”
Mr Ingram said he regards his pharmacy as his extended family.
“The staff and customers are our family, and we take our connection to the community very seriously,” he said.
“We are a team that is truly dedicated to building better health outcomes for our community, our customers and our patients,” Mr Ingram said.
The TWC chain is one of Australia’s leading retail pharmacy networks delivering frontline healthcare, with more than 500 community pharmacies across Australia.
The annual TWC HEART Awards cover recognition across health, customer engagement, service, and leadership with the winner to be announced at a gala event in Perth during the chain’s national conference to be held in March.
