Showcasing the amazing abilities of locals, U3A’s Gayle Beckton said it was wonderful to hear from young music students to some of the most seasoned performers in our region.
The second talent concert organised by the group, Mrs Beckton said they hope to make it an annual event.
U3A will continue to apply for grants to make it a reality.
This year’s concert was supported by Edward River Council and the Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group, which allowed people to be attend for free.
“We had 150 people attend, including performers, which was great,” Mrs Beckton said.
“It was a very entertaining afternoon, and nice and relaxing.
“We had a mixed age group of both performers and audience members.
“Quite a few of our performers were also involved last year, but this year we also had a brass group and the U3A ukulele group. These included some who has never performed to an audience before.”
