Families flocked to Deniliquin’s Memorial Park on Sunday for the return of the Mother’s Day market to the local event calendar.
Families of varying combinations were represented, with a number of multi-generational groups soaking up the sunshine and all the goodies and activities on offer.
Hosted by the Deniliquin Pastoral & Agricultural Society, the Make, Bake and Grow Market featured more than 40 market stalls, children’s activities and even a popular dog show.
The event continues a Mother’s Day tradition started decades ago with the Conargo Mother’s Day Market.
The tradition was continued by the Naponda Hospital Auxiliary before COVID-19, and brought to Deniliquin, with the Deni Show committee taking over from this year.
And judging by the success of Sunday’s event, we expect to see it back in 2024.
More from the market in Friday’s edition.
