Jo Bertram has been largely responsible for the successful return of our local general store and was a ray of sunshine for customers using the facility.
She has been a much-loved member of our community over the past couple of years, endearing herself to a great many people.
We hope she can bounce back from her recent experience and we wish her well for the future.
Don’t be a stranger Jo, let’s catch up sometime.

The joyous sound of children playing echoed from the southern end of town this week as the first wave of students returned to Mathoura Public School for face-to-face learning.
As well as catching up with friends they hadn’t seen for several weeks, they loved being with their teachers and other school staff.
The days at school will increase each week until it is again full time and everything will be back to normal.

Well ladies, how did you enjoy your special day on Sunday?
I hope the family treated you to a slap up meal and a beverage, or if they were not able to visit, a call for a chat.
I personally was treated to a visit from members of my family on Saturday, laden with a delicious lunch.
It was great to catch up after being separated for such a long time.

Being border dwellers, how difficult is it to keep abreast with the current rules and restrictions implemented as a result of the Coronavirus?
With little access to NSW news, it is difficult to determine which rules relate to us so it feels like we are walking a tight rope.
Perhaps we could take a punt and hope we’ve got it right.

Hopefully restrictions on visitor numbers and other virus prevention regulations will soon be a thing of the past and we will be able to get the whole gang back together and have a great time.
So now it seems that things are on the move and we can have visits at home by five people, outside get togethers with 10, weddings can have 10 people and up to 30 for funerals.
It seems a bit tough if you have to wait until you’re dead before there’s a decent sized party.
Take care and stay safe everyone!
