The talks are being supported by national, state and local government, as well as the Ricegrowers Association and the Western Murray Land Improvement Group.
Led by water management expert Daryl Poole from RMCG Bendigo, the sessions will offer insights into seasonal outlooks, expected water price positions and the broader impacts of water use decisions.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the water sector, Mr Poole will guide attendees through strategies to improve confidence in planning and decision-making.
The two-and-a-half-hour sessions will be held in Wakool, Oaklands, Deniliquin and Finley and are aimed at building understanding of how water choices affect productivity and profitability.
The events are free to attend and open to all members of the farming and irrigation community.
Sessions are as follows:
• Wakool: Monday, September 15, from 6pm to 9pm at the Wakool Services Club.
• Oaklands: Tuesday, September 16, from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the Oaklands RSL Club.
• Deniliquin: Tuesday, September 16, from 6pm to 9pm at the Deniliquin RSL Club.
• Finley: Friday, September 19, from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the Finley RSL Club.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and gain practical advice tailored to the region’s water challenges.
