The Deniliquin Bowling Club had a win and a loss in the opening round of the Campaspe Midweek Pennant season on Tuesday.

Division 1 was defeated by Kyabram, 57 shots to 62, despite winning on two of the three rinks.
Chris Taylor, Peter Todd, Tony Tonta and Mark Quor (skip) won their game, 22 shots to 19.
Craig Hillier’s side scored a narrow 17-16 victory.
Steve O’Brien’s rink was beaten 18-27, however, which resulted in the five shot defeat overall.
Division 3 managed to claim a 46-42 win against Kyabram, after two matches of stark contrast.
Steve King’s team was comprehensively beaten, 16 shots to 31, but the combination of Ken Salter (s), Jenny Tonta, John Murray and Alan Hardcastle were able to turn that result around with interest when they triumphed, 30 shots to 11.
Alan Hardcastle and his Division 3 ting teammates had a good win.
