The extensions will allow the Dodgers to play two games at a time, allowing the club to accommodate more members and more visiting clubs.
‘‘The upgrades have made it more viable for us to hold our fun and friendship days where other clubs can come and visit,’’ Mrs Wilson said.
‘‘It also means we can have more players staying active at one time, with two courts for us to play on.
‘‘The stadium is already one of the most used facilities in Deniliquin and now it’s opened up for more people to use it.’’
Lifeball is a game which can be played on any flat surface and involves strategy as a game designed for fun, fitness and skill development.
‘‘Lifeball can be played by men, women, and boys and girls of all ages but is particularly suited to older adults as it improves heart and lung function, increases circulation, and relieves stiffness. It helps prevent fall injuries as it improves balance, coordination, flexibility, mobility and mental stimulation.
‘‘The game can be modified to suit everyone, whatever their ability.’’
The group plays indoors at the Deniliquin Sports & Entertainment Stadium each Monday and Thursday morning at 8.15am.
