Morris will lace up his boots for just the 11th time for the Lions tomorrow when they take the field against South Cairns.
Having joined in round three, the former Redeye has played just 10 games for the club and will be entering this weekend in form with the boot.
The key utility player stepped into centre half forward on Saturday to kick a season high three goals helping his side steamroll Centrals Trinity Beach by 91 points.
‘‘It is pretty special to make it into finals having only been here a short while,’’ Morris said.
‘‘I am lucky to have joined such a good team and hopefully I can replicate my performance on the weekend.’’
The 19 year-old made his debut for the Lions in round three on July 25.
Despite the Lions and South Cairns both finishing with seven wins and five losses, South Cairns are sitting above Cairns City with a better percentage.
The Lions, however, will have the face-to-face advantage this weekend having punished the Cutters two weeks ago in round 13, 16.17 (113) to 4.4 (28).
‘‘We are feeling pretty good as a squad and we have a few returning from injury to come back into the line-up,’’ Morris said.
‘‘If we stick to our game plan and work together like we have the last few rounds we should do well.
‘‘I’ve played as a utility player this season; I’ve been in the centre, defence and up forward.
‘‘I’m hoping to have another run at centre half forward but I’m there to help the team so I will play where I’m needed.’’
