It’s an exciting new season for us. We are enjoying meeting and getting to know some wonderful people, as well as exploring some of the local area.
I think most of us relish the prospect of a new adventure, the chance for a fresh start, the opportunity to explore new horizons.
Of course, the moment we place our faith in Jesus Christ marks the beginning point of the greatest of life’s adventures, one which will endure beyond our days here on Earth.
What’s more, the faith journey of a believer in Jesus provides not only a new adventure, but a whole new you!
The Bible tells us that “anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”. (2 Cor 5:17).
It doesn’t matter what your old life might look like; your new life is filled with amazing potential.
And, while this new life is a gift from God, what you do with it is up to you.
Pastor Rick Warren described it this way: “During a physical workout, you exercise to develop your body, not to get a body. Farmers work the land, not to get land, but to develop what they already have. God has given you a new life; now you're responsible to develop it”.
Of course, God is with you, guiding and empowering you at every step, as you allow him.
What a privilege, to live this new life for the glory of God.
Your life in his hands is ripe with possibility, a miracle in the making.
It’s a hope-filled adventure, grander than you can imagine.
So, allow me to encourage you to fully embrace this faith adventure, and not let the miracle of your new life in Christ ever grow old. God bless you.
