The 2025 school captains and vice captains were inducted at a special assembly last week.
Officially taking up their new roles as captains from term four are Chelsea Weir and Ollie Fagan.
They will be supported by vice captains Jasmin Currie and David Ingram.
Being a leader can be a truly hard task, even for the most well-prepared and equipped students, but can create a large array of opportunities.
Setting an example for other students, particularly those younger than them, is key to their role and operations.
Outgoing leaders Maddie Weir, Hayden Doncon, Bonnie Everett and Darby Watson have been an exceptional group of leaders for the Deniliquin High School community, exhibiting the skills and abilities of a leader over their tenure as captains.
In a joint letter to the school community, the foursome said they gained a lot of benefit from the experience.
“Being chosen as the 2024 captains and vice captains of Deniliquin High School has given us many opportunities and experiences that we will carry with us for years to come,” they wrote.
“It has allowed us to step into leadership roles, represent our peers, and work towards making our school community an even better place.”
