New playground and outdoor kitchen for Mayrung

There were community celebrations at Mayrung Public School for the official opening of its new outdoor kitchen and playground.

The outdoor kitchen was jointly funded through the Edward River Council Community Funding, Mayrung Public School and Mayrung P and C.

A number of councillors were in attendance and Cr Tarria Moore took the honour of cutting the ribbon for the outdoor kitchen.

School principal Julie Eason proudly cut the ribbon celebrating the addition of the playground equipment.

The school also held a successful silent art auction with amazing art items created by family and friends of the school community and generous donations from Artlife artists.

Visitors were also treated to a display of the students’ artworks collated over the years, perfectly set out from room to room filling them will colour.
