It was made especially for the service in Wichita, Kansas.
The six-seater plane arrived in Australia at the weekend, and pilots Nigel Wettenhall and Phil Oakes retrieved it from Melbourne on Wednesday.
In a true demonstration of it’s speed, they made the trip from Essendon Airport to Deniliquin in just under 30 minutes.
One of the most excited to see the plane arrive was Wettenhall Air Service co-owner Russell Tait.
Also gathered to see it’s arrival were Deniliquin Aero Club members, staff from FieldAir, Deni Freighters, other local pilots and aviation enthusiasts and family and friends.
Dyl’s big break
As the debut of the new Underbelly TV show, Underbelly: Vanishing Act, draws closer, more and more teasers of the program are being aired.
Sharp eyes will have noticed a familiar face popping up in the previews.
It’s former Deni man Dylan Hare, who moved to Sydney many years ago to pursue an acting career.
Dylan has landed many roles since that move, but the global phenomenon that is the Underbelly series is undoubtedly his most visible role yet.
This edition focuses on the mystery surrounding Melissa Caddick — an Australian financial advisor who disappeared in 2020 amid an investigation by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) for allegedly running a Ponzi scheme.
According to the International Movie Database, which puts Dylan in the ‘top cast’ section of the page, Dylan appears in all four episodes as Nash. There is no information yet as to how Nash fits in to the story.
Dylan’s other TV appearances have included the ABC political drama Total Control and Home & Away, both in 2019, and as a recurring guest cast member of Black Comedy between 2018 and 2020.
Last year he was cast in the movie Shark, featuring Aussie acting heavy weights Rose Byrne and Nash Edgerton.
Underbelly: Vanishing Act is due to screen on Channel Nine on April 3 and 4.
