As part of the development of the Bullawah Wind Farm, BayWa r.e. has partnered with the Country Education Foundation (CEF) Edward River to offer a $2500 scholarship.
“The scholarship is open to all, but we particularly encourage those studying STEM, electrical trades, education, environmental studies or other courses related to the renewable energy industry to apply,” said BayWa’s community engagement manager Marteena McKenzie.
The scholarship will be administered by Edward River CEF - a branch of the national not-for-profit organisation helping rural and regional youth access education, training and jobs through grants, scholarships, support services and resources.
“The Country Education Foundation of Edward River Region cares deeply about education, young people and the future of rural and regional Australia,” Edward River CEF chair Mardi Chartres.
“We understand that young people in rural and regional areas often face significant financial challenges when following their post school educational pursuits.”
“We are very pleased to partner with Bayware. to administer the Bullawah Wind Farm scholarship and we encourage students within the Edward River region to apply.”
BayWa r.e is developing Bullawah Wind Farm at the junction of Edward River, Hay and Murrumbidgee Shires, to deliver renewable energy to 500,000 homes.
Further details about the scholarship are available from Edward River CEF secretary Jodie Sefton on 0427 814 741.
