Tickets are still available for tomorrow’s Play on the Plains Festival in Deniliquin, where, for over more than 10 hours, there will be live music, a silent disco, volleyball, and so much more to enjoy.
Headlining the event and helping to draw in ticket holders from all over Australia and even overseas is King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
It is the only Australian show for the Melbourne-based band, for which former Deni man Michael Cavanagh is drummer.
Other Aussie acts on the line-up are ARIA award winner Baker Boy, high energy party starters Northeast Party House, alternative rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex Lahey, pop singer-songwriter Kita Alexander and The Carp Factory.
There’s also a series of up-and-coming artists who will perform in the Battle Of The Bands competition, with one local entrant in each of the three categories.
Deni band Anagram Riot is one of seven entrants in the senior band category, with others hailing from Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle.
The Groovy Dudes will come up against two Griffith bands in the junior band category.
Four solo artists will come to Deniliquin from Sydney, Wollongong and even Tasmania to compete against hometown entrant Izzy Pearn.
Add the bars, food trucks and camping to all this, and you have a recipe for an amazing weekend.
