A significant Southern Riverina farming enterprise is set to go under the hammer this spring, with Nutrien Harcourts Deniliquin appointed to sell the well-regarded “Karingal” Aggregation by public auction.
Comprising 1,485* hectares (3,669* acres) on McManus Road, Tantonan (via Bunnaloo), the holding presents an attractive balance of irrigation and dryland farming country. Around 566* hectares is developed to modern irrigation – supported by Murray Irrigation Limited outlets and efficient channel systems – while the remaining land consists of highly fertile dryland soils and scattered timbers ideally suited for livestock production.
Improvements across the aggregation are extensive. A spacious five-bedroom homestead with office, pool, gardens and orchard provides comfortable living, while a secondary three-bedroom residence is also located on the property. Shedding and operational infrastructure is substantial, including multiple machinery and hay sheds, workshops, grain storage with a combined 1,200* tonnes of capacity, and fuel storage of 23,000* litres. Purpose-built sheep and cattle facilities are also established, with two wool sheds and steel cattle yards.
Located just 45 kilometres from Deniliquin and 53 kilometres from Echuca, “Karingal” enjoys a prime position within the Riverina’s agricultural hub. Its scale, infrastructure and versatility make it well suited to broadacre cropping, intensive irrigation, and mixed farming operations, appealing to family enterprises, investors and corporate agriculture alike.
The aggregation will be offered for sale by public auction on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, at 11am at the Bunnaloo Recreation Reserve Hall. It will first be presented as a whole holding; if not sold, it will immediately be offered as two separate properties, “Karingal” and “Crookes.”
