The app has been in use at the Central Murray Regional Library in Deniliquin for some time, however the library has a new focus on assisting the visually impaired.
Library team member Peter Papandriopoulos said a common problem was that local users had heard the entire audio book collection at the library and needed something new.
‘‘The app has a larger collection because it comes from all of the libraries we are under in the Edward River Council and Murray River Council region,’’ he said.
‘‘This means we have more than 1000 titles available that you may not have read or listened to here in Deniliquin.
‘‘Because we have had customers come in and run out of options, we are offering to help assist the visually impaired to access this service.’’
This assistance can range from just setting it up to helping you choose something new whenever you visit the library, and making sure you can access a variety of titles to get the best experience out of the new service.
‘‘I think it is important to offer this service because we have had feedback that locals want more content,’’ Mr Papandriopoulos said.
