The meetings will discuss key initiatives the company has progressed in response to feedback received during last September's shareholder discussion groups.
These initiatives, which are focused on reducing the impact of water buybacks on Murray Irrigation, customers, and the broader community, include:
• Water Solutions Pilot: The purpose of Water Solutions is to retain productive water within the Murray Irrigation footprint by purchasing permanent water entitlements and selling temporary water allocations to customers within the footprint.
• Feasibility study: The aim of this study is to find a pathway forward that will minimise the resultant harm of water buybacks on farmers and communities.
Shareholders will be updated on other company developments, be given an overview of Murray Irrigation's expected 2024-25 financial year performance, and receive information on the Board's strategic planning process.
Each meeting lasts about two hours.
