The perfect weather saw more 4000 visitors through the gates on Monday, March 13 to view the 460 show cars on display.
Visitors were able to browse 65 swap meet sites and 40 market stalls, enjoy a coffee or a meal at the food court and sit down to listen to the band.
Hundreds of kids enjoyed a ride on the novelty train and spent time with the animals at the petting zoo.
The auction drew a huge crowd and the bidding was very lively. All items auctioned were donated by local businesses keen to support the event even after a number of them were still recovering from the 2022 floods.
Events Committee secretary Regina Young said the generosity of local sponsors, even after being flood-affected, was a testament to the community.
“We were overwhelmed and quite surprised to say the least to get that sort of response, people were still prepared to set up and donate,” Ms Young said.
“The auction was about the same size as last year but the value was higher, over $15,000 and that's local business generosity.
“We also had a stock auctioneer volunteer his services for the day.”
The auction and the raffle raised more than $12,000 in funds to be used to cover overheads and enable the clubs to stage the event again in 2024.
The Show and Shine organising committee with members from the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn and the Seymour and District Car Club acknowledge the work of Mitchell Shire Council and the Kings Park committee of management for getting the park ready for the event.
