Southern Voices is an award winning choir of talented, dedicated musicians under choral director Sharon Batterham.
The choir’s aim is to provide beautiful music for any occasion.
From the grandeur of opera to the infectious rhythms of alternative hip hop, and from contemporary compositions to choral classics, Southern Voices captivates audiences with their wide-ranging repertoire.
They will be hosted in Deniliquin on Saturday, June 7 by local choirs Con Spirito Voices and The Gents with support from South West Arts and South West Music.
On Saturday morning, Southern Voices members will deliver a workshop teaching singing techniques and warm-ups to hone your vocal skills.
The workshop is open to anyone over the age of 16. You don’t have to have any previous experience to join this fun sing-along style program.
Registration opens at 9.30am, with the workshop running from 10am to 2pm.
A light lunch will be provided for workshop attendees.
Southern Voices will then perform for the community at the Deniliquin Town Hall on Saturday night, from 5.30pm.
Some members of the workshop are expected to join them on stage.
Concession tickets for the twilight concert are $25, or $30 full price. Under-18s get in free. The workshop costs $30.
If you wish to attend both the workshop and the concert, a special ticket price of $50 applies.
