Mathoura Football Club clocked up another four points last week with one player kicking nine goals on his own.
The news came just as former long-term local and football club member, Michael ‘Tiger’ McCormick had been honoured with an induction into the Queensland Football Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to both.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to popular local lady, Vallie Childs.
Vallie underwent surgery on Tuesday morning at the Bendigo Base Hospital.
The surgery has reportedly gone well and she is hoping it won’t be too long before she is home.
Interestingly her son Paul caught up with another local, Buggsey Couser while travelling in the lift.
Best wishes to Bugs also.

Anyone for cricket?
The Northern United Goats, a local B-grade team in the Goulburn Murray Cricket competition is struggling to muster enough players to secure a team for the coming season.
The club is financially stable so money is not a problem – all it needs is players.
If you or anyone you know would like to help out this great club please call 0419 150 779 and ensure it is once again the greatest of all time.
