The star local netballers were scouted for the program’s junior netball tour during the 2022 School Sports state netball competition.
They will have the opportunity to play the sport they love against teams from multiple UK districts.
The tour will provide them with the opportunity to hone their skills, make new friends, and experience different cultures and how the game of netball is played across the world.
The girls will also have the chance to stay with four different UK families during their journey.
This will give them a unique insight into the daily lives, customs, and traditions of the people they are visiting.
Sightseeing will also be on the cards for the teens, with the Eiffel Tower in Paris and Buckinhham Palace in London among the landmarks they’ll get to see up close.
Bonnie will be accompanied on the trip by both her parents, Richenda and Michael Everett.
“We’re so proud of Bonnie,” Michael said.
“She’s worked extremely hard to get here, although she was a bit nervous about the whole tour and staying with other families when we first found out.
“But now she couldn’t be more excited; especially after receiving her green and gold netball dress.”
Makayla Finn is sharing the excitement with Bonnie, saying she is “keen to see what everything is like over there”.
“I’m really excited to meet new people and play against them, and of course seeing the landmarks as well,” she said.
The official first day of the tour is on New Year’s Day London time, which is a sightseeing day for the players.
A traditional London soccer match may also be on the cards.
The first day of play for the girls will be on January 2 in London, against the Raiders Netball Club.
On January 3 they take on the AP Saints, said to be one of the strongest clubs in London.
The girls then visit Oxford and Bicester on their way to Cheshire for two days of games against Cheshire Country representative teams on January 5 and 6.
The next round will be against the MK Netters in Milton Keynes on January 8, after a visit to the Manchester area the day before, and then on to play the Hucclecote Netball Club in the Cotswolds on January 9.
Back in the London area on January 11, the girls will play the Falcons Netball Club.
They then take on Kent County Netball Club on January 12 before departing for a few days of sightseeing in France on January 13.
The Aussie netballers return to Australia on January 17.
