The first event of a three day Deniliquin Truck Show weekend, the dinner will pay tribute to those people who have worked in and shaped the industry.
Truck Show committee member John Creenaune said the inductees come from a pool of more than 40 nominations received over the life of the event, which celebrates its 10th annual this year.
“This year will see a mix of inductions from across our Wall of Fame region, including the Deniliquin district, SOuthern Riverina, and even the Hay area.
“Everyone who has been nominated since the start of the event remains in the pool for judging if they have not already been inducted, and the list grows each year.
“We look forward to adding more to the illustrious list on the night.”
The inductees will be announced at a gala dinner at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Friday, October 24.
Mr Creenaune said ticket sales have been strong, meaning there are limited tickets remaining.
“As well as our awards, we’ll have Outback Truckers favourite Paul ‘Sludge’ Andrews as a guest speaker.
“We’ll also be inviting Deniliquin business Grimison Transport to speak on their 100th anniversary, as well as representatives from industry leaders and the Truck SHow’s supporting businesses and organisations.
“Plus, we’ll have our usual auction.
“It’s a night not to be missed, so make sure to get your tickets before sales close this Friday, October 17.”
The dinner is an over-18s event only. Tickets are just $60 and can be purchased at https://www.trybooking.com/DDLTS.
On Saturday, October 25, the action moves to the Deni Ute Muster site on Conargo Rd, Deniliquin where event organisers have partnered with the Down Under Modified Tractor Pulling Association to add even more action to the Truck Show & Indusrty Expo schedule.
You can buy your tickets and organise camping at https://www.trybooking.com/DDLQF.
The weekend concludes with a transport industry memorial service on the Sunday.
