‘Unwavering commitment’ recognised

For his “unwavering commitment and dedication to the club”, Craig Behsman has been awarded the Deniliquin Rovers’ 2023 Club Person of the Year.

The award was bestowed at the club’s senior presentation evening, held at Deniliquin Memorial Park.

Gabby Barlow was named Senior Netball Club Person of the Year, and Scott Howard was awarded the Senior Football Club Person award.

Jai Ezard and Chloe Brown were recognised as the club’s rising stars, while Anthony Joss was honoured with the President’s Award.

Mardi Joss, who has selflessly volunteered as the canteen manager for the past five years, received the Special Appreciation Award.

Special mention was also made of Chrissy Hurst, Andy Bowkett, Tic O’Toole, and Charlie Hussey, who all received appreciation awards for their “exceptional contributions”.

Hurst was also honoured with the A-grade Best & Fairest prize for the year for her efforts on the court, while the senior football Best & Fairest went to Raymond Murphy.
