As entrants in the Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge, they not only have their minds set on a monster catch or two that will land them some prizes, they hope to claim one of the two boat and trailer prize packages up for grabs too.
Both donated by Deniliquin Yamaha, one will be won by raffle while the other is given away through a lucky draw of all entrants.
And with their luck in both fishing and prize draws, it’s easy for them to hope for the best.
At last year’s Challenge, Noah won a kayak in the junior entrant random.
Two years earlier, younger brother Hunter won a kayak at the Mathoura Fishing Classic.
Now 15, Noah will compete in the adult section of the competition this year while 11 year-old Hunter will hold down the fort in the juniors.
Joining them on the fishing adventure will be their parents, Troy and Lizzie Dunn, who have been business and Adopt-a-Cod sponsors of the challenge since it was founded.
But they will also have some stiff competition for the prizes, with 470 registrations confirmed at the time of going to print yesterday and on track to reach the 500 angler capacity.

The family has been getting some practice in over the school holidays though, and know there are some monsters in the Edward waiting to be hooked.
On an outing for New Year’s, Noah and family friend Chris Morrison reeled in a 114cm Murray cod in the challenge fishing zone using bait.
“We normally just use bait, but we do trawl a bit too,” Troy said of their go-to approach.
“Last Easter Noah grabbed a Bardi moth and threw it out and got a 1.6m cod. And my best catch is a 1.2 m cod,” he continued.
“Mine is a 75cm,” Hunter chimed in.
While Noah said the appeal of this weekend is “trying to catch a fish”, the family says the social aspect of the weekend is also a draw card.
“I’m looking forward to the raffles and the yabby races,” Hunter said.
“And I’m going to win a boat this year,” he said confidently.
