The 23 year-old grew up on a property near Mayrung and Deniliquin but has since moved to Gundaroo to work at ASAR Stock Horse Stud, who she represented at the championships, which were held over the June long weekend in Albury.
Miss Beer won two awards on ASAR Actress, an eight year-old mare in its second season of polocrosse.
‘‘We (Jugiong) won all of our games but went down in the final by seven points to Albury. However, I did win best number, plus champion horse and rider combination.
‘‘I have been playing polocrosse since I was about eight and Bluegate Polocrosse Club at Pretty Pine was my home club.’’
Miss Beer returned to Pretty Pine for its polocrosse competitions at the weekend.
‘‘It was great returning to the Bluegate to compete with my team (Jugiong). It is always nice to come back home and catch up.’’
Miss Beer moved to ASAR Stock Horse Stud after she finished Year 12 at Deniliquin High School and has been there since.
‘‘I finished school in 2013 and have now been at ASAR, which is near Canberra, for about five years.
‘‘I work and live there which I really enjoy. I play in a lot of competitions with their horses including representing New South Wales at the interstate competition in Queensland recently on the same mare I rode in Albury.’’
Miss Beer enjoyed catching up with family members who were also at Pretty Pine on the weekend.
