Deni hit the road for a battle against fourth placed Rochester on Friday returning home victorious by 46 shots; 99 to 53.
The locals managed to win on all three rinks in the dominant victory, taking fourth spot away from the hosts.
The highlight of the day was the rink of Graham Nisbet, Tony Danckert, Jenny Tonta and Linda Harris (s) scoring the maximum of eight shots on one end.
It was much needed for the Deni rink as they went on to win by 11 shots.
Final score, Deni 28 to Rochester 17.
Jill Grimshaw skipped her rink of Lindsay Franklin, Brenda Leetham and Fay Munnerley to a massive 30 shot win.
The quartet scored a ‘six’ on the second end, leading 13 shots to 1 by the seventh end.
The 18th end saw Deni leading 25 to 9; before scoring 17 shots over the next five ends to be 42 to 9 upon the 23rd end.
Rochester managed to score three shots over the last two ends, but the damage was well and truly done.
Final score, Deni 42 to Rochester 12.
Toni Brooksby, Shane Laing, Caryn Hillier and Lyn Smith (s) won 12 ends, including a ‘six’ on the 11th end, to finish five shots up at the end of play.
Final score, Deni 29 to Rochester 24.
Division Three comfortably sit second on the ladder following a successful road trip to Rich River on Friday.
Deni won on both rinks to return home winners by 16 shots; 57 to 41.
Noel Murray, Paul Snare, Maureen King and skip Robyn Little won 14 ends, which included a ‘seven’ on the fourth end, to win by 15 shots.
Final score, Deni 33 to Rich River 18.
Loris Yates, Aileen Kennedy, Joy McArthur and skip Cheryl Bradley had a close game for much of the day; scoring five shots on the 18th end to be up 20 to 13.
Deni managed to score a ‘one’ on each of the next three ends to be 10 shots up with only four ends to go.
Rich River scored 10 shots over the next three ends to go in to the last end 23-all, but a measure decided the shot in favour of Deni on the final end, with the visitors winning by one.
Final score, Deni 24 to Rich River 23.
This week both teams are at home for round 12.
