Reaching 400 games of football is a pretty big achievement.

Only six players in VFL/AFL history have ever reached the milestone.
And while his games have come in the Picola & District Football League, Daniel Mison has played all 400 with the Deniliquin Rovers.
It shows longevity similar to that of former star Brent Harvey, from Misons’ beloved North Melbourne Kangaroos.
Known as ‘Mouse’, the long-serving Mison racked up his milestone game against Picola United in Picola on Saturday.
Mison’s feat is even more significant when you learn he did not start his footballing career until his later years as a teenager.
Since then, he has achieved a period of sustained games played, across more than 20 years.
Mison has been a consistent contributor for the Rovers and is a pillar and key backman in the Deni Rovers’ Reserves side, which is currently undefeated in the football competition.
Several of Mison’s friends and family who have supported him across his footballing career made the trip to Picola for Saturday’s celebrations.
While there were discussions about Mison potentially reserving the milestone game at Memorial Park in Deni, the Rovers’ home ground, the humble and committed contributor wouldn’t have it.
Mison ran out through a specially made banner and led the side at the toss.
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, however, when the Reserves conceded the first three goals with the wind at their aid in the first quarter to trail 0.4 (4) to 3.0 (18).
But the side rallied and went on to win the match, 10.16 (76) to 6.0 (36).
Following the game, Mison was chaired off from the far side of the Picola football ground.

In celebrations following the game, Mison said his 400 games at the Rovers had been “great”.
Mison made mention he was mostly concerned about how the unbeaten reserves side were playing up until quarter time.
After a few moments, Mison made sure to thank family, friends and his partner Olivia Wells who put a lot of effort into the 400 game celebrations.
Rovers’ president John Glowrey said Mison has “done everything around the club, having been a captain, coach, committee member, volunteer”.
“It is said often but is really true about Mouse; he bleeds blue and white,” Glowrey said.
