Five local netballers will travel to Melbourne this weekend as part of an Inter Academy Tournament to be held at the State Netball Centre on Saturday.
Chloe Brown will be competing in the Under-19 age group.
Bonnie Everitt and Makayla Finn will be competing in the Under-17 age group.
All three have been training all year in preparation for the competition, where they will be able to demonstrate and apply their skills learned in the talent academy program.
Paige Brown and Ava Robinson will also play this weekend after earning spots through the Bendigo Academy of Sport (North East) talent identification program.
They will be aiming for selection to the ongoing talent academy squad based on their performances.
The girls are all excited for the opportunities the competition presents and are looking forward to the level of play they will be exposed to.
Locally, all five girls are involved in the Deniliquin Netball Association.
Paige and Makayla are also associated with the Deniliquin Rovers Netball Club, Bonnie and Ava with the Deniliquin Rams and Chloe plays as part of the Shepparton Bears team.
