The A-grade netball match was in question due to a passing thunderstorm, but once the green light was given to play the Rams put on a display of pure dominance.
A comfortable lead at half time allowed the team to try some different positional combinations, and the momentum continued.
Awards this week were chosen by treasured netball trainer Corinne Mitsch, who found it hard to single out players in a full team effort.
Elle Panton (Endeavour Wool Exports Award) was outstanding defensively with 12 intercepts and deflections for the game.
She also showcased her versatility, playing all three defensive positions on the court.
The ever-reliable Rhiannan Maxwell (PhysioFit with Britt Award) was a tower of strength shooting at 94 per cent for the game, and a perfect 15 from 15 goals in the final quarter.
Ella Harvey (Club Award) brought energy and vibrancy to the attacking end and was a safe option all game, even in the miserable conditions.
B-grade - Bye.
C-grade: Deniliquin Rams 38 def Finley 30.
C-grade had a tough game against a strong Finley side but came out on top in the end to take the four points.
The defensive end pulled in countless intercepts and worked well with a combination of new players.
Finley also had a strong defence, but to the Rams’ credit they kept fighting for the goals.
A defensive game executed by the defensive end saw them gain the awards this week.

C-reserve: Finley 38 def Deniliquin Rams 37.
After a big month of recruiting, it was super exciting to finally get the team out on the court with lots of new faces and returning club people.
The team started slowly but their endeavour to be the best they can be was inspiring.
As each quarter progressed, they closed the scoreline gap to only go down by a goal at the final siren.
Julia Druitt’s work rate, patience, control and supportive demeanour was inspirational.
Ellie Parks returned to the court after a few season away and did not miss a beat. She moved from attack to defensive at half time, which proved to be a game changer.
Tess Parsons is also back on the court after a few years away. She used her knowledge of the game to encourage and support the team mates around her, which resulted in some smooth attacking transitions.
A huge shout out to Remy Henderson, Abbey Doncon and Carla Crossley who played their first senior game.

The team was itching to get out on court for their first game of the season.
With a new look team, the first quarter was about building connections and working with each other’s strengths.
Confidence built each quarter and the scoreboard continued to tick over in our favour.
Vice captain Mia Parks lead from the front, controlling the tempo and the flow of the play for the entire match.
Club newcomer Lucy Pitt was strong in defence, supported by some good footwork and rebounding strength Kate Westcott.
Kate was patient and consistent in attack, which supported smooth transitions from defence into attack.

Under-15s: Rams 24 def Finley 13.
The first half of the game was rather close, with only leading by two goals.
The first award, sponsored by Ken and Jenny Bates, went to Molly Bradley for being very strong in the midcourt - giving 100 per cent all game, lots of defensive pressure and great drives in offence.
The second award, the Club Award, went to Zoe Circuitt for playing consistent all game.
Zoe combined with different players, positioned herself well against tough defenders and shot accurately.
Under-13s: Rams 28 def Finley 22.
The U13s were determined to get their first win on the board at Finley.
The girls started well, able to enjoy the lead for the majority of the game.
Lucy Crossley was a steady option throughout the entire game, displaying her accuracy and being able to obtain rebounds in the circle.
She combined well with Arielle Hillier who fed accurately into the ring and controlled the play.
Down the defensive end, Eloise Menadue was able to get two handed intercepts, rebounds and tips to the ball, this stopping Finley to have any run ons in the game.
