Round four ignited with a crucial top-of-the-table showdown between the Amigos and the Kings at the Broadford Hotel. Despite the Kings’ initial strike, the Amigos dominated the undermanned Kings, securing a decisive 8-3 victory.

Amigos captain Mark Robinson was on point, finishing with four 180s, three tons and a 121, Torin Helmore scored four tons, a 121, 125, two 140s and a 158 and Darren Withoos scored three tons, two 121s and two 125s.
The Kings’ highlights included six tons for Rob Welsh and four tons, a 101 and a 180 for Adam Lynch.
In game two, the Pirates faced off against the Kilmore Cobras, clinching a 9-2 victory despite six of the eight singles matches reaching a tie-breaker.
The Pirates highlights included a high peg of 80, three tons, a 121, two 123s and a 140 for Seth Kilroy, Zane Kilroy nailed five pegs, seven tons, a 125 and a 140, Steve Kilroy hit three tons and a 123 and Andrew Harrison chipped in with a ton.
Rohan Clancy was the top scorer for the Cobras, he banged in three tons, a 101, 125 and a 140, Rob Davon scored three tons and a 120, Crystal Bird snagged two tons and Gerard Brady hit a ton.
The final A-grade match featured the Golf Club Aces hosting Badass. With most of the Aces team on holiday, they continued to struggle, suffering a 10-1 defeat.
Mark Jones led the Aces with six tons, a 120 and a 140. Belinda Reid filled in admirably, contributing two tons and a 140.
Badass’ Anthony Wallis was a cut above, throwing five tons, a 118, 134 and two 140s, Peter Myles scored two tons, a 134 and three 140s and Wayne Cartner hit high scores of 121 and 133.
In the first B-grade match of the round, the Jacaranda faced off against the 26ers at the Royal Hotel.
The 26ers proved formidable, securing a 9-2 victory. Aaron Ballantyne shone for the Jacarandas, scoring three tons, while Jose Mason impressed with a high score of 160.
The 26ers’ Brian Ward is starting to find his feet in the Seymour District Darts Association, banging in five pegs, a ton, a 121 and a 139, Dave McGrath scored a ton, a 121 and a 140 and Sharon Ring chimed in with a ton, a 112 and a 140.
The subsequent match pitted the Kilmore Convicts against the Tiger-neers.
Despite the Tiger-neers’ early 3-0 lead, the Convicts rallied in the singles, winning four of eight matches. However, the Tiger-neers ultimately prevailed 7-4.
The Convicts’ highlights included a ton, a 125, 134 and a 140 for Peter Browne, Perri Clancy continues to improve with high scores of 102, 111 and 122 and Eoin Flynn sneaked in a 106 and a 125.
Jack Stephens dominated for the Tiger-neers, hitting five pegs, two tons and a 125, Mark Ruddick was next with a ton and a 123 and Steve Maffei nailed a ton and a 120.
The final game of the round was between the Marauders and the Royal Rascals, with the Rascals winning the night 6-2 due to venue time restraints.
The Marauders’ Daniel Chandler snagged two tons and a 102 for the home team.
The Rascals’ stand-in captain Brendan Rogers fired in two tons, a 115 and a 117, Noel Whittling hit two tons and Stuart Crockett scored a single ton.
Round five started with a nail-biter at the Broadford Hotel, with Badass fighting back after being 4-1 down against the Pirates to lose by a narrow margin of 6-5.
Badass’ Peter Myles nailed a high peg of a 110 to go with six tons, a 121 and two 140s, Anthony Wallis fired in two tons, a 121 and four 140s and Christine Lorenz slotted a 102 and a 115.
The Pirates’ Zane Kilroy was on fire with five tons, a 101, 123, 125, 131, 135 and two 140s, Seth Kilroy scored a ton, a 121, 138 and 140 and Dan Kilroy scored three straight tons.
The hits just kept coming for the Golf Club Aces, with the Broadford team travelling to Seymour to take on the Kings. The Aces battled hard, but the Kings were too good, dealing the Aces another 10-1 loss.
Rob Welsh was on fire for the Kings, smashing in 10 tons, a 120, 125 and two 140s, Terran Crispin scored seven tons and a 121, Adam Lynch hit three tons and a 123 and Anthony Bohlmann scored three tons.
The Aces’ highlights were a ton and high peg of 88 for Mark Jones, Steve Williams snagged a 127 and Craig Stephens slotted a ton and a 140.
The Cobras squared up against the Amigos in the final A-grade match, with the Amigos banking the four points after serving the Cobras an 8-3 beating.
The Cobras’ Rob Davon slipped in a ton and a 120, Rohan Clancy snared a 120 and Crystal Bird hit a 101.

The Royal Rascals got over the top of the Kilmore Convicts 9-2 in the first B-grade game for the round, thanks to the Royals’ stand-in captain Brendan Rogers, who finished the night with a ton, a 114 and a 125 to his name, Aaron Peacock jammed in a 120, Noel Whittling snagged a 103 and Stuart Crockett sneaked in a ton.
The Cobras only played with three players, but captain Peter Browne stood tall for his side, banging in three tons a 134 and a 140 and Perri Clancy fired in a high score of 126.
The subsequent match at the Dave Cave in Beveridge saw records shattered as the 26ers clashed with the Marauders. Despite Marg Francis achieving an extraordinary peg of 167, the 26ers proved too formidable, securing a 9-2 victory and claiming the points.
26ers captain Dave McGrath recorded five pegs, three tons and a 134, Brian Ward speared in two tons and a 132, Matt Fillin nailed two tons and Sharon Ring bagged a single ton.
On top of the 167 finish, the Marauders’ highlights included a ton for Simon Collie, and Phoenix Collie fired in a 123.
The final game of the night saw the Tiger-neers extend the Jacarandas’ winless streak to five weeks, knocking them off 8-3. Jack Stephens smashed in five pegs, three tons and a 140, Mark Ruddick pounded in three tons, Mitch Wittig returned to form with three tons and a 140 and Jamie Bagioni scored a single ton.
Aaron Ballantyne was again the pick of the bunch for the Jacarandas, slipping in two tons and a 120.
