It was a good battle that our boys felt like they got some real positives out of.
Players like Jack Charlton, Kyel Bain, Fayte Belmont, and Luke Charlton stepped up to the plate.
The effort was there all day, and we strung together some good footy for most of the day.
Unfortunately, Tungamah were good enough to capitalize on their chances and put the game away.
Blighty had a strong showing in the second half, however, which is something we hope to build upon.
Final score: Blighty 19.8 (62) def by Tungamah 9.18 (132).
The reserves' Josh Wawrzycki challenges in the contest.
Fourths player Helens Fevaleaki looks to intercept, with support for Logan Andrews.
Reserves:
It was another challenging day on the field as Blighty faced a well drilled opposition.
Despite the pressure, the team worked tirelessly to maintain ball movement and push forward.
It was particularly encouraging to see new faces returning to the team, reinforcing our depth and commitment.
A standout performance was delivered by Josh Wawrzycki, who not only held his ground in the ruck contest but also made a significant impact at ground level, securing possession and driving the play.
George Fulton deserves a special mention as well, making a strong return for his first game of the season.
His persistence in intercepting the ball and his unwavering effort in defence were commendable.
Jack Jennings provided crucial support to the midfield, demonstrating resilience and determination throughout the match.
Meanwhile, Jesse Collins showed great versatility, adapting to new positions and performing admirably in one-on-one contests down back.
While individual efforts were recognised, the entire team displayed outstanding commitment and determination on the field.
Every player contributed to the collective effort, and their dedication is truly appreciated.
Final score: Blighty 0.0 (0) def by Tungamah 32.14 (206).

They all kept the pressure up all game, and made it a tough game for Tungamah.
Charlie Tremble had a great day, getting in and defending with some great pressure.
Zane Sibraa started in the forward pocket he was playing attacking footy.
Andrew Frost did not stop all game in fullback, which is one of his qualities.
Helen Fevaleaki and Logan Marshall had their trademark style of game in the centre, never being beaten.
It was the toughest game so far to award the best on ground award, with many players deserving of it.
Once again Seth Fuess got the award, having a standout day in the ruck.
Other awards went to Hudson Kelly, Jack Brown, Ben M (surname not provided) and Logan Andrews.
Hudson led by example with his determination to tackle and consistent effective ball movement throughout the game.
Jack had another great game, showing no fear and Ben was able to get himself into the game by getting some good marks.
Logan Andrews showed that once he has the ball, he is very capable.
The scoreboard didn’t reflect the effort and game that Blighty played. They never gave up, which is a credit to them.
Final score: Blighty 0.0 (0) def by Tungamah 16.15 (111).
Fifths:
It was a good game to watch again.
These young ones always pick up their game in the second half.
A big thank you to Tungamah for giving us a couple of players. We are a very young side, and it was good seeing them help out.
