The first quarter this week was our best quarter of the season.
The ladies started strong with only 10 goals the difference at quarter time.
The shooters did a wonderful job together, and our midcourt worked tirelessly all game creating terrific passages of play, including turnovers and intercepts.
Despite lacking a bit of height, our defensive end put up a strong performance and gave it their all.

B-grade: Blighty 11 def by Strathmerton 47.
The ladies worked hard out on the court today to come together as a team, with many different players taking the court once again.
In defence, the girls worked together to create many intercepts, rebounds and applied immersive pressure.
Ruby Caruso stepped from under-17s playing a fabulous game in the mid-court.
Ruby Williams worked with Chloe Macknight in the goal ring, working hard all game.
Krystle Winter and Dakini Hall continued to develop their connection in the mid-court.
A great effort by all, and special thanks to all those who filled in to ensure we had a team to put out on the court.

C-grade: Blighty 33 def by Strathmerton 51.
The girls travelled to Strathmerton full of confidence and positivity, and they put on a fantastic game of netball.
The C-grade girls played with heart and determination.
In attack, Emma Brain, Rachel Bucholtz, and Grace Reid combined beautifully, creating strong passages of play and scoring some brilliant goals.
Their connection and teamwork made for a fast-paced and exciting match.
In the mid-court, Mikayla Collie was outstanding in centre, constantly finding space and providing strong options all game.
Her vision and quick movement kept the game flowing and helped drive the ball forward.
Defensively, it was a tough task trying to contain Strathmerton’s attacking end, but Ruby Williams, Chook Watson, and Amelia Fraser worked tirelessly.
They earned crucial turnovers and continually sent the ball back up the court.
Tess Lloyd also had a standout game, playing a strong couple of quarters in centre and then switching to wing defence, where she grabbed some brilliant intercepts.
These girls were amazing today and should be incredibly proud of their efforts.

C-reserve: Blighty 6 def by Strathmerton 29.
The C-reserve girls hit the court with renewed energy and positivity this week in their clash against Strathmerton.
Determined and eager to keep improving, the team showed just how far they’ve come, with their hard work and willingness to try new things on full display.
There was a noticeable improvement from last week, and the team’s flexibility shone through with plenty of positional changes throughout the game.
It was fantastic to see the girls embracing different roles and stepping up for their teammates.
Defensively, Lara Elphinstone was a standout – racking up countless turnovers and earning a well-deserved best on court recognition.
Grace Ingram also had a brilliant game in defence, backing up her team and taking home an award for her efforts.
Lauryn Bond impressed with her netball smarts, adapting to multiple positions and leading by example on the court.
Meanwhile, Jess Butcher proved her versatility, showing confidence and strength in her new role at Wing Defence.
Although the girls didn’t come away with the win, the improvement, teamwork and positive spirit were undeniable – a great step forward!

Under-17s: Blighty 30 def by Strathmerton 32.
The under-17s played a thrilling game against Strathmerton. It was a tightly fought contest that saw the Redeyes go down by only a couple of points.
The whole team put in the hard yards and supported each other from one end of the court to the other.
Awards went to Ash Charlton for her relentless efforts in securing the ball in goal attack, Gwen Gazzara for stepping up for a big commitment in the centre position and to Eliza Weir who also stepped up from the under-15s team and had a red hot go in the centre position.
A big thanks to Kyah Watson who also stepped up from the under-15s to help our team out, and to Belle Gordon for her role as team manager on the day.
Under-15s: Blighty 9 def by Strathmerton 45.
The girls played a great game, coming together as a team and encouraging one another.
Ivy Ball consistently applied pressure in wing defence, always covering her player, when the ball had to transition down the court she was always an option.
Emma Taylor, as always, ran her heart out in centre. She created great plays and always provided an option for the team.
Lily Petersen once again put great defensive pressure on and created so many turnovers down the court.
The girls played a great game and illustrated their skills beautifully, well done girls!

Under-13s: Blighty 25 def by Strathmerton 28.
The Blighty under-13s put up a spirited performance in a thrilling contest against Strathmerton, narrowly going down in a tightly fought match.
Despite the final result not falling their way, the team showed impressive resilience and teamwork throughout all four quarters.
Indi Bain stood out in goals with Ella Charlton, shooting with accuracy and composure under pressure to keep Blighty within striking distance.
Shelby Huckin was a constant presence across the court, working hard in defence to intercept balls and drive it forward.
Lexi Bucholtz also impressed with her unwavering determination, contesting every ball and showing great hustle throughout the match with Kaydnce Sibraa, once again strong in attack.
It was a great team effort from the Blighty girls, who continue to show growth and improvement each week.
With this level of effort and commitment, it won’t be long before they’re back on the winners' list.

This week the girls came up against Strathy for a great game of netty on a chilly morning.
All the girls are starting to find a great grove together playing great passages of netball.
Keira Lankow switched between attack and defence getting her hand to many balls and finding space to run out and help with the movement of the ball down the court, Well done.
Millie Bucholtz took in all the coaches advise onboard and applied it to her play ensuring that her opponent had to work hard to get the ball.
