The North School swimming carnival last month saw some record-breaking efforts from individual students, with Boyd house winning the house shield.

Chloe Lawson broke two records at the local carnival.
One was in senior breaststroke, with her time of 44.91 seconds an improvement on the previous record of 45.04 seconds.
In senior backstroke, her time of 42.93 seconds replaced the previous record of 43.02 seconds.
The organisation, assistance from volunteers and positive input by students ensured that everyone was able to be involved to the best of their ability.
Junior Boys - Jack Macdonald, runners-up Jed Chadderton and Lucas Hovenden.
11 Year Girls - Lotus Gallpen-Brown, runner-up Stevie Williams.
11 Year Boys - Ned Campbell, runner-up Connor Sampson.
Senior Girls - Chloe Lawson, runner-up Charlotte Gatacre.
Senior Boys - Ben Macdonald, runner-up Rupert Maslen.
Several of these swimmers made up the Deniliquin North Public School team that competed in the zone carnival.
Deni North placed third overall at zone, and Chloe Lawson was senior girls champion and Ben MacDonald senior boys champion.
Chloe placed first in the 100m and 50m freestyle, the 50m breaststroke, backstroke butterfly and 200 individual medley for a clean sweep.
Chloe has now won the junior, 11-year and senior girls champion medals at zone across her school career.
Millie Hall placed first in the 50m freestyle and second in the 50m breaststroke.
Havana Sztejman placed second in her 50m freestyle age race.
Ben Macdonald placed third in the 100m freestyle and 50m breaststroke, second in the 50m freestyle, backstroke and 200 individual medley and first in the 50m butterfly.
The North School relay teams also had a great day, with the junior boys and junior girls both second in their events and the senior girls placing first.
North’s top performing zone students travelled to represent Deniliquin at the Riverina Swimming Championships in Leeton yesterday. Results were not known at the time of going to print.
