Members will first support the Deniliquin Boat Club’s Ski School program this Friday night, before hitting the water on Saturday during a come and try day.
“This is an exciting addition to our Friday night Ski School, where skiers have the opportunity to watch and gain some pointers from Victoria’s best barefooters,” Boat Club member Aileen Hayes said.
“On Saturday, the barefooters will be on the Edward River from 6.45am onwards.
“The Victorian Barefoot Waterski Club encourages people to come and try barefooting, or just spectate and relax by the river.
“If you are interested in learning the unique skills of barefooting, please contact Peter Roberts on 0407 506 579 for registration details and further information.”
The cost to participate on Saturday is $50, and those wishing to participate must register with the Victorian club by this Thursday.
Registrations for Ski School on Friday night must also be received ahead of time.
“If you are seeking a fun and exciting sport to learn over school holidays or summer months, this is the sport for you,” Hayes said.
“You are required to be a member of the Deniliquin Boat club to participate in ski school.
“Bookings can be made via our website - deniboatclub.com.
“You will be made most welcome and our friendly and experienced volunteers will certainly make you feel at ease on the water.”
Ski School starts at 5pm this Friday, and live music and food will be provided at the clubhouse from 5.30pm.
Performing is Deniliquin singer-songwriter and guitarist Zech Walters, with catering by Café 100.
Café 100 will be back on Saturday serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A bar will be available Friday night, and on Saturday.
