There were mixed results on Tuesday with two sides winning and two teams losing.
The A2 side played Club Mulwala at home and won by 25 shots.
Adam Larkins, Rod Garthwaite, Raz Porter and Andy Dickins lost 17 to 20.
Maree Jones, Lex Thornton, Keith Mills and Ketch won 19 to 16.
Judy Black, Daryl Brown, Wayne Lee and Ken Widdison won 36 to 6.
The B1 side played Myrtleford, also at home and won by 46 shots.
Dom Carroll, John Danaher, Bev Pilfoot and Peter Summerill won 18 to 12.
Brian Houlihan, Tony Coughlin, Gary Brown and Anne Summerill won 39 to 6.
Ken Mollinson, Susie Swift, Bryan Gee and Les Pilfoot won 24 to 17.
The B2 side travelled to Yarrawonga and lost by 27 shots.
Ros Lewis, Peter Smith, Peter Mills and Alan Holmquest lost 17 to 25.
Lynne Ewison, Roly Nixon, Lynne Mills and David Lewis lost 14 to 18.
Anne Smith, Rosemary Baddeley, Sam Nixon and Laurie Way lost 14 to 29.
The B3 side travelled to Howlong and lost by 64 shots.
Jenny Lawrence, Robyn Fierenzi, Tim Buggy and Ross Ewison lost 9 to 33.
Pam Lee, Rhonda Clark, Joan Wood and Gary Turner lost 15 to 34.
Janet Mills, Gordon Nightingale, Dux MacQueen and Tony Fierenzi lost 13 to 34.
Weekend Pennant Results for 16th December
Last Saturday also saw mixed results, with two sides winning and two sides losing. This was the last round for 2023. The last four games resume on 20th January (13th January for the B3’s), with finals starting on 17th February.
The A1 side played YMGCR at home and had an encouraging 10 shot win over the second placed side. They are now in 3rd place on the ladder.
Keith Mills, Rod Garthwaite, Ken Widdison and Jordan Thornton lost 16 to 21.
Adam Larkins, Ray McLarty, Danny Webb and Scott Widdison won 21 to 20.
Judy Black, Andy Dickins, Wayne Lee and Shawn McMahon lost 17 to 19.
Maree Jones, Ketch, Troy Brockley and Stuart McNeill had a big win, 27 to 11.
The A4 side travelled to Benalla and found the going tough on their greens, losing by 2 shots. The loss puts them in 5th place on the ladder with only 15 points separating 1st to 5th.
Archie Bedford, Susie Swift, Les Pilfoot and Peter Summerill won 26 to 14.
Chris Reilly, Darryl Brown, Alan Holmquest and Mark Brack won 23 to 15.
Levi Phibbs, Tony Coughlin, Gary Brown and Anne Summerill lost 11 to 24.
Nate Jones, Lynne Ewison, Lex Thornton and Raz Porter lost 20 to 29.
The B2 side travelled to St James and won by 28 shots. They are in 4th place on the ladder.
Roly Nixon, Peter Smith Gary Turner and Brian Houlihan had a massive 35 to 8 win.
Jenny Lawrence, Julie Holmquest, Tony Townsing and Jeff Nixon had a 17 all draw.
Anne Smith, Barry Warburton, Greg Keyte and David Lewis won 21 to 20.
The B3 side played Wodonga at home and lost by 11 shots. They are now in 7th place on the ladder.
Marilyn Langton, Dux MacQueen, Sam Nixon and Ross Ewison won 23 to 17.
Roseann Prentice, Rhonda Clark, Rosemary Baddeley and Peter Mills lost 8 to 39.
Pam Lee, Janet Mills, Wally Langton and Joan Wood won 26 to 12.
Barefoot Bowls
There will be no barefoot bowls on Thursday, December 21 but it will resume on Thursday, December 28 at 6pm. If you are looking for some entertainment for your Christmas visitors, come along. There is no charge and equipment is supplied. The bar is open, and food can be purchased from Club Corowa.
