The B2 side travelled to Wangaratta and had a 10-shot loss. This makes a top-four position almost out of reach. They are in 5th spot on the ladder, 16 points out of the four and play the third-placed side next week.

Weekend Pennant Results- Feb 10
The final home and away games were played last Saturday, and the club is pleased that three RSL Bowls Club teams will be playing finals next week.
The A1 side played Myrtleford at home and had an encouraging 33 shot win. They will have a rematch in next week’s elimination final.

The A4 side travelled to YMGCR and had a nail-biting draw. They scored just enough points to keep them in 3rd spot and will play Rutherglen in next week’s elimination final.

The B2 side travelled to Club Mulwala and won by 22 shots. This puts them in 3rd position, they play Corowa Civic in the elimination final.

Club Championships
Men’s Triples
The final between Greg Keyte, Ken Widdison and Scott Widdison and Ross Ewison, Hayden Brockley and Troy Brockley was played last Thursday. Greg, Ken and Scott played too well and had a comfortable win.
Men’s Pairs
Results of the semi-finals are: - Lex Thornton and Ray McLarty lost to Tony Coughlin and Raz Porter by 1 shot in a very entertaining game; Ken and Scott Widdison lost to Hayden Brockley and Jordan Thornton. The final will be a rematch of last years, with Tony and Raz playing Hayden and Jordan.
Ladies Pairs
The Ladies Pairs final was played between the teams of Judy Black and Susie Swift and Jenny Lawrence and Pam Lee. The first few ends were close; however, Judy and Susie applied the pressure and came away with a comfortable win. It was encouraging to see Jenny, a first- year bowler, reach the final of a club championship.
Ladies Consistency
In first round games: Judy Black defeated Wendy Robb; Shirla Wall defeated Jenny Lawrence; Bev Pilfoot defeated Pam Lee; Rhonda Clark defeated Roseann Prentice.
Men’s Nixon Handicap
Wally Langton defeated Peter Mills, Darryl Brown received a walk-over from Shawn McMahon, Lex Thornton defeated Andy Dickins, Liam Larkins lost to Alan Holmquest.
Men’s Minor Singles
Darryl Brown and Tony Fierenzi played the long-awaited final on Sunday. Tony proved too strong for Darryl and won 21-10.
Thursday Night Rollers
All new and casual bowlers are welcome to join us for Barefoot Bowls from 6pm each Thursday. All equipment is supplied, and there is no charge for the bowls. Tomorrow, February 15, there will be a BBQ. Names are required, and the cost is $5.
