Cracking croquet week for James

Leo Barry challenged John James for the win on Wednesday, but came in second.

John James has had a great week on the croquet courts this week, coming out on top in both the Sunday and Wednesday competitions.

There were 17 competitors on Sunday, with John the only three game winner.

There were five individual two game achievers, including Leo Barry, Peter Whittakers, Fred Littman, Tony Bull and Andy Davis.

A total of six jump shots were achieved on the day with John James scoring three.

Singles went to Alan Higgins, Tony Bull, Peter Whittakers, Mary James and Leo Barry also scoring one each.

There were no hoop in one shots scored.

Twelve members enjoyed the warmer than normal temperatures on Wednesday.

John again won three games, and was the winner.

The other three game winner on the day was Leo Barry.

The two game achievers were Alan Higgins and Brian Dudley.

Leo also had three jump shots, John two and Alan one.

Anyone who would like to play croquet is invited to come along any Wednesday or Sunday morning. Mallets are available for you to use.

Arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start.

The club is also seeking potential pennant players for the spring competition, commencing this month. Deni hopes to enter two teams.
