The rebuilding Cutters couldn’t get much going at the attacking end at Mathoura Recreation Reserve, while Waaia was unrelenting in its own offensive pressure, piling up a mammoth 58 scoring shots.
The Bombers’ accuracy wouldn’t have pleased the coaching staff, but the side fired through 6.10 in the opening term, Mathoura unable to hit the scoreboard.
The Cutters found its lone major of the game in the second period, Wade Austin making the most of his opportunity to get the host on the board.
After leading by 89 at the half, Waaia continued to find the goals in the third and fourth, finishing with a huge win.

Charlie Burrows made the most of the favourable fixture, leading his side with nine goals.
A youthful Cutters side is one of three that have yet to score a win this season.
This Saturday will see Mathoura travel to league newcomer Dookie United, which has won one of its opening three fixtures.
Netball:
Mathoura slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat to start the year, the Cutters defeated by Waaia 35-19 at Mathoura Recreation Reserve.
The Bombers’ connections proved too swift for the Cutters in the early going, as the visitor got out to a 12-5 lead by quarter-time.
Mathoura found more success defensively in the second, but Waaia would win the period 8-4 to lead 20-9 at half-time.
The third again saw a four-goal margin between the sides, while the Cutters managed another strong defensive effort in the fourth to lose the period by a single goal, 6-5.
Mathoura’s next game will be against league newcomer Dookie United, as the two face off at Dookie Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
