On rink three, we had an even game for the first half. On the 13th end we were 10 shots to 12, then Moama turned it on and for the next eight ends.
We only scored three shots, going down 13-34.
Rink four was slow to start, but on end six picked up a four, and a five in the next end to lead 10-6.
It was pretty even going from then on, and on the 17th end we were even.
Going into the last end, we were one shot up but lost a shot on the last end to have a draw.
Rink five was 12-17 on the 13th end, but then picked up five shots over the next two ends to make the scores even at 17 shots each.
We could only pick up four shots over the next six ends to finish 21-25.
Final score: Mathoura 53 def by Moama 78.
Division 4 played away, also against Moama on Saturday.
The weather was fine with a moderate wind.
Rink 16 was 5-6 on the 6th end and 7-12 on the 11th, but did not score again until the 17th end (one shot).
We then won the next two ends, and then lost the final two, to finish 11-26.
Rink 17 had a very good day, winning 13 ends.
This included five shots on the 16th end, and a final win of 25-10 - a very solid performance.
On rink 18, scores were 8-10 on the 12th end, but we then dropped a three, four, and four on the next three ends to be 9-24 of the 17th end.
We won three of the next four ends, though, to finish 16-25.
Final score: Mathoura 52 def by Moama 61.
