Coming off their second win of the season against Rennie last week, who sit above them on the ladder, seniors coach Alex Hay said it was pleasing to see the side’s training translate into a four-quarter performance.
“The side is feeling fairly confident off the back of last week’s win,” he said.
“It’s good to see the things we have been working on throughout the week translate into strong performances.
“But we are aware that we have a lot of work ahead of us to make an impact this season.”
Hay said to bring home the win against a very well-structured Katandra side, Rovers would need to perform defensively and work the ball quickly and efficiently.
“I’m expecting a team that will run and spread well from the contest, as well as a highly efficient team with their ball movement,” said Hay.
“To get in the game we will have to be strong defensively in our contest around the ground and try to counter with some quick ball movement of our own.”
The side will have its work cut out for it with ruckman Adam Bodey out again this week, as well as Joe Hay.
Play will start tomorrow at 2.05 pm at Memorial Park.
