Teams were a little different this week due to a few absentees, but we all arrived with a positive attitude.
The weather was not going to be our friend though.
It was cold, cloudy and the wind was horrendous.
But we all had to bowl under the same conditions so game on.
Peter Thommers was having his first game as skip.
His side started well, but Rich River gradually got a hold of them.
Lyn Harcastle was leading well, Sandra Hill was giving it her best while struggling with a bad bug, and Danny Stanmore was having a red hot go.
But in the end Rich River were just too strong, with final scores being 22 to 7.
The team of Tony King, Chris Frampton, Archie Webster and Graeme Gordon struggled all day, coming up against a very strong opposition.
They could not take a trick going down 27 shots to nine.
Niels Hilton’s team of Jake Glenn, John Wilson and Craig Taylor got off to a great start putting pressure on their opponents from the start.
They had a good gap on them all day, which made it too hard for their opponents to catch.
They finished winning their rink 29 shots to 12.
Total shots were in Rich River’s favour, 61 to 45.
Not the result we wanted but there is always next week.
Midweek teams for tomorrow’s games is as follows:
