Bonnie Everett’s remarkable sporting contributions and achievements earned her the 2025 Australia Day Junior Sportsperson Award.

Her achievements include representing Deniliquin and Deniliquin High School at several sporting events, from regional competitions to state carnivals in basketball and netball on a local and national level
Additionally, her contributions to the Deniliquin Giants basketball program, including coaching and umpiring at both representative and local levels and fostering inclusivity through the Ford Aussie Hoops and Deniliquin Stadium programs, showcase her commitment to community development and sportsmanship.
The crowd gathered at the Deniliquin Town Hall for Sunday’s Australia Day award presentations was told she has also played an important role in Deniliquin Rams netball teams and representative programs.
In 2024, she was a part of the Rams’ A-grade Murray League netball team and won both the side’s Rookie of the Year and the Coach’s awards.
Bonnie was also an integral part of the Deniliquin High School’s netball team's best-ever results in the NSW Combined High Schools Netball Championships, finishing eighth in the state in 2023 and fifth in the state in 2024.
Both teams won the Riverina tournaments in Albury and Wagga respectively undefeated.
