Golfers had to contend with temperatures in the high 30s on Saturday, then a cooler day interrupted by rain on Sunday.
That did not stop some excellent scores being recorded.
The 36 hole winners with an aggregate 218 points from their three best scores each day were Peter Joice, John Penna, Chris Thomson and Alan Jenkin.
They won by a solitary point to Leigh Chappell, Gary Rodda, Geoff King and Oscar Marshall.
The winning team on Saturday with 119 comprised Brian Bourke, Duncan McQuie, Col Thompson and Ashley Hall, from runners-up Jarryd Pearce, Ken Pearce, Zac Pearce and Jarod Sommerfeld.
The winning team on Sunday with 111 points comprised Peter Oddy, George Willis, Neil Boswell and Mark Thomas, from runners-up George Maddison, Russell Begg, Gary Stephens and Kathy Simpson (106 points).
It was another successful weekend for the club, with thanks to the life members for their support.
Last Thursday there was an Australia Day medley.
A-grade winner was Vicki Brunker with 40 points from Peter Locke 39, and in B- grade Jen Choice defeated Jane Glowrey on countback with 37.
On Wednesday the A-grade winner with a sub par round to record 40 points was Troy Grant, from runner-up Ronald ‘Moot’ Turner on 39.
B-grade winner was Jeff ‘Dickie’ Grant on 39 from Laurie Hughes 38.
Coming up we have the Tasker’s Garage Monthly Medal tomorrow, as well as the 2022 Medal of Medals play-off.
The Inter-club Challenge Cup will start this Sunday, February 5, with round one at Rich River and following rounds at Deniliquin and Barham, before the final at Murray Downs on March 2.
Friday Night Fun will continue tonight with happy hour from 6pm to 7pm, and raffle tickets on sale from 6pm with draws starting at 7.30pm.
