Deni tennis players travelled to Hay on Sunday where the the Hay Tennis Club hosted a inter-town tennis competition.
The competition saw three doubles pairs face off in three one-set matches.
Sets were eight games long, with two service games for each player in a match.
Despite several tied matches throughout the day, Hay took out the competition.
Hay Tennis Club was very hospitable, even providing a barbecue lunch.
While there was some competitive play, the tennis provided an excellent opportunity for social tennis.
The Deniliquin team comprised John Sibree, Ric Bond, Peter Armstrong, Ken Smith, Rowan Frazer, John James and Clive Gow.
The Hay team included Noel Corlis, Geoff Chapman, Chris McClelland, Ian Lilburne, Tom Porter and Bede Schiller.
