It was a much anticipated one day match between the fourth placed home side and second placed away side on the ladder.
The Rhinos went into bat first at the batting friendly Barooga.
Opening batters Griegan French and Brad Todd got into their innings well, before French was out for 13 caught off the bowling of opening bowler Riyaad Henry in the seventh over with the score at 1-25.
Harry Hillier then came in and built well with Todd.
Hillier was the next to depart, also for 13, bowled by Jonathon Oliver.
Charlie Paton came to the crease, hitting boundaries and keeping the run rate flowing.
Todd was then out caught and bowled by Oliver for a knock of 34 including five fours and one six.
Paton was joined by Andrew Hogan, who got into his rhythm.
Paton was then out for a run a ball 21, caught by Murphy Stephens off the bowling of Oliver.
This allowed the game’s two milestone players - Hogan and Boddie Arthur - to share the crease.
Both marked their 150th game for the Rhinos, as joint record holders for the club.
Arthur added 20 before he was caught out by Oliver, off the bowling of Henry.
Noah Bradley then joined Hogan in the middle, scoring 16 before he was caught out behind by Zach Dunn off the bowling of Harvey Johnson.
Anthony Bradley came to the crease, scoring a quickfire 15 off nine balls - including one four and one six - before being dismissed by Henry, caught by Kohen Haddrell.
Later that over, the Rhinos’ innings anchor Hogan was also out, caught by Mitchell Richmann off Henry’s bowling.
He had made 65 off 69 balls, with four fours and three sixes.
Lachlan Holloway and Rory Bartlett finished the innings on two not out and five not out respectively, helping the Rhinos finish on a formidable total of 8/218 off their 45 overs.
Barooga started their chase strongly, scoring 33 off the first five overs before Joice Mathew struck first.
He got Murphy Stephens out for 22, caught behind by wicket keeper Arthur.
Hogan then gave the Rhinos their second wicket, bowling fellow Barooga opener Harvey Johnson for eight in the 13th over.
From there, Barooga’s next two batters - Henry and Crue Lucas - managed to stay in.
Henry hit regular boundaries and Lucas remained composed with him.
The Rhinos could not find the next wicket until Charlie Paton had Lucas out for 57 in the 36th over, caught by Lachlan Holloway off a skied ball to short cover.
It was too little, too late.
Henry finished off the chase, bringing up his 100 and the final score, with consecutive sixes to start the 39th over.
Henry finished on 106 not out off 87 balls, with eight fours and four sixes to go with his bowling figures of 4/26.
Barooga reached 3/223 off 38.2 overs, to win by seven wickets over the Rhinos.
Captain Griegan French opened the batting for the Rhinos.
