Hotshots fall to Smashers

The ‘Smashers’ won the Badminton spring competition grand final on Monday evening against a strong opposition.

The match was played at the Deniliquin Sports and Entertainment Stadium.

The Smashers were too strong an opposition in the final round against Hotshots, with a score of 301-260.

Three game winners for Smashers were Troy Grant, Ian McMillan and Pam Jones.

The Badminton Club will take a break over the Christmas and New Year period before resuming in January.

Practise will return over five Monday nights: January 10, 17, 24 and 31, and February 7.

The next competition will start on Mon-day, February 14.
